Baseball Game Preview: Waseca Bluejays vs. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights

Waseca is a perfect 8-0 against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bluejays will head out to take on the Knights at 5:00 p.m.

Waseca might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-3 to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cyclones a 7-0 shutout. The Knights not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25th (when they won 10-0).

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Waseca, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Waseca took their victory against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 18-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
