Basketball Game Preview: Berkeley Prep Buccaneers vs. Wiregrass Ranch Bulls

Two dominant guards in Madeline Dean and Andralee Keim are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Berkeley Prep came up short against Palm Harbor University and fell 59-50.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass Ranch was able to grind out a solid win over Gulf on Wednesday, taking the game 42-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulls.

Wiregrass Ranch's win came from a few key players Berkeley Prep will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tennae Cabral, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keim, who went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Berkeley Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Wiregrass Ranch, their record now sits at 11-9.

Berkeley Prep couldn't quite finish off Wiregrass Ranch in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 51-48. Can Berkeley Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
