Palisades and Bangor are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Slaters at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Palisades managed to slip by Palmerton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates came up short against the Blue Bombers on Tuesday, falling 10-3.

Palisades saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Schultz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Bangor's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Nazareth Area on Monday. The Slaters came out on top against Catasauqua by a score of 6-1.

Owen Mera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyler Balok, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Rinaldi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Bangor has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Palisades, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Palisades might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Bangor when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
