Volleyball Recap: Jamestown Comes Up Short

Jamestown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Greenville Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Muskies of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

While Jamestown was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Greenville's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-21.

Jamestown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Greenville, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Jamestown will challenge Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Girard at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
