Basketball Game Preview: Stephens County Indians vs. West Hall Spartans

The Stephens County Indians are taking a road trip to take on the West Hall Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stephens County will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Stephens County had to suffer through a 72-22 loss at the hands of Elbert County. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, West Hall played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Apalachee, falling 49-28. The Spartans were down 39-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Stephens County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for West Hall, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Stephens County against West Hall in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 75-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stephens County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
