Cypress Woods gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Cypress Lakes Spartans by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Morgan Becher got the start for Cypress Woods and what a start it was: she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Becher has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. Kinsley Booker relieved her and did a solid job, pitching two innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Cypress Woods got a big performance out of Alexia Vazquez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was Vazquez's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Dennis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Cypress Woods' record is now 18-11. As for Cypress Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Cypress Woods has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 victory against Cypress Springs on the 7th. As for Cypress Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-2 loss against Cypress Ranch on the 7th.
