It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pioneer Pioneers , sneaking past 3-2. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Railsplitters as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.
Lincoln wouldn't go down easily and took Pioneer into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 22-25, 15-13.
Lincoln was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Lincoln's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-32. As for Pioneer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.
Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Skyline on the 7th. Pioneer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
