Basketball Recap: Cassadaga Valley Cougars vs. Randolph Cardinals

Cassadaga Valley lost against Randolph back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cassadaga Valley Cougars were outmatched by the Randolph Cardinals and fell 77-43. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-19.

Randolph found their leader in sophomore Skylar Herington, who went 17 of 30 en route to 46 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Herington has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Quinn Pence, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points along with eight boards and seven assists.

Cassadaga Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Randolph, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Cassadaga Valley will take on Frewsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frewsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.9 points per game this season. As for Randolph, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Randolph Cardinals take on the Gowanda Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
