Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Prep Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian Prep kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Bloomingdale Blazers and fell 62-28.

Leading Bloomingdale to victory were Caleb McClung and Aiden Schiedler. McClung almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, while Schiedler dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Schiedler a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hager, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and five steals.

The win was the seventh in a row for Bloomingdale, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian Prep will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beth Haven Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for Bloomingdale, they will be playing at home against Cross Lanes Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
