Volleyball Recap: Shaleigh Harrell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sneads over Liberty County + How To Watch

If Sneads was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Port St. Joe on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty County Bulldogs on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Liberty County scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20.

Sneads' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaleigh Harrell, who had 11 digs. LaRay Gibbs was another key player, getting 13 digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sneads fell to 2-1. As for Liberty County, the win (which was their ninth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Sneads will challenge Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Walton on the 25th.
