For the first time this season, Northern Nash will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are on the road again on Monday to play the Fike Golden Demons at 7:00 p.m. Fike took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Northern Nash, who comes in off a win.
Northern Nash is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against South Central by a score of 44-33 last Friday.

Myles Eatmon produced another solid effort rushing for 255 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 133 rushing yards per game.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Northern Nash was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 362 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Northern Nash's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Jaylen Butts. three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Preston McDaniel, Tollie West IV, and Holton Westbrook, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Fike was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against Rocky Mount, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Golden Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Gryphons are ranked 86th).
Despite the defeat, Fike saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Braylen Loftin picked up 175 receiving yards and one touchdown. Loftin showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 56 yards.
Northern Nash's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Fike, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Monday's game might be decided in the trenches. Northern Nash has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 207.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Fike, though, as they've been averaging only 92.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Northern Nash strolled past Fike in their previous meeting back in August of 2024 by a score of 31-12. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Golden Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
