Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Forbush's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Forbush had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wilkes Central Eagles. The Falcons not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 10th (when they won 3-0).

Forbush's got stronger as the match went on, holding Wilkes Central to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-13.

Caroline Johnson paced Forbush's offense, picking up ten kills. Johnson got some help from Kendyl Berrier and her 23 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Forbush is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Wilkes Central, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-17.

Looking ahead, Forbush will take on North Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilkes Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
