Preview: Ogden International vs. Senn Bulldogs
Ogden International is 3-0 against Senn since March of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. Ogden International will be playing at home against the Senn Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Ogden International unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 61-54 to Clark.
The losing side was boosted by Jazlyn Ortiz, who scored 31 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That was a full 57.4% of Ogden International's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zydrea Childs was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Senn suffered their biggest defeat since November 16, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 66-26 loss at the hands of Westinghouse. While losing is never fun, Senn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 558th, while Westinghouse is ranked 104th).
Ogden International's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Senn, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Ogden International was able to grind out a solid win over Senn in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 33-23. Will Ogden International repeat their success, or does Senn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
