Softball Preview: Branham Bruins vs. Westmont Warriors

The Branham Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Westmont Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Branham is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Branham's hitters rose to the challenge against a Mustangs pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.23 points allowed on Wednesday. Branham was the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over Gilroy. Branham might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Branham let Abigail Fales and Kaliya Yco loose on the outfield. Fales went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, while Yco scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Moser, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Westmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Leigh.
