Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

After flying high against Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet last Wednesday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Page Patriots on Tuesday, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in March.

Centennial's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Page, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial is set to challenge their familiar foe Nolensville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Page will square off against rival Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.8, the Bruins 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
