Baseball Recap: Wolcott RVT Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wolcott RVT can now relate to. They fell just short of the Branford Hornets by a score of 7-6 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

Wolcott RVT got a good showing from Hunter Aeschlimann, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Jason Rehben was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Robbie Nellson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Wolcott RVT's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7. As for Branford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

As of now, neither Wolcott RVT nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
