After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Billy Fessler to
Charles Fessler in the first quarter,
Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) led 21-3 at the half.
The Ramblers expanded their lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. Cathedral Prep scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Fessler to
Jake DeHart.
With the win CP extended its winning streak to six games. Cathedral Prep defeated Ursuline 37-8 last week.
Fessler played well for the Ramblers in the victory. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Cathedral Prep came into the game allowing 9.6 points per game. The 17 points that
McDowell (Erie, Pa.) ended with were below its average of 24.0 coming into the game.
A 41-27 Cathedral Prep victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss was the third in a row for the Trojans.
In a non-conference game next week McDowell (2-4) takes on Cardinal Mooney, and Cathedral Prep (6-0) will go up against St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute also in a non-conference game.
