Volleyball Preview: Holliston Panthers vs. Medway Mustangs
Holliston is 2-8 against Medway since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Holliston Panthers will face off against the Medway Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Holliston will be strutting in after a win while Medway will be coming in after a loss.
Holliston took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Norwood.
Meanwhile, Medway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Hopkinton, falling 3-0.
While Medway had to take the loss, they sure made a game of it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-8.
Even though they lost, Medway was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 15 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
