Osceola is 8-2 against Hollins since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Osceola Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Hollins Royals at 7:00 p.m. Osceola's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Hollins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Osceola came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Venice, falling 10-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this matchup were averaging four runs allowed.

Osceola saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Futch, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Ian Dunn also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hollins, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Boca Ciega by a score of 4-0 on Friday. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Riley McDonald made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Hollins is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 0-3 otherwise. McDonald was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Hollins' victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Osceola beat Hollins 13-8 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Osceola since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
