Tuscaloosa Academy took a six-run  defeat the last time they faced off against University Charter, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Trail Blazers  13-12 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Knights have posted  since March 18th.
The team  relied heavily on  Caroline Lucas, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karis Langkawel, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Tuscaloosa Academy  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters  in four consecutive  contests.
Tuscaloosa Academy's record is now 11-4. As for University Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscaloosa Academy will square off against Central at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.38  runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for University Charter, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Keith  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
