Volleyball Game Preview: Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains vs. Woodmore Wildcats

The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains will square off against the Woodmore Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopewell-Loudon is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Hopewell-Loudon lost 3-0 to Seneca East on Saturday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20, 25-15.

Hopewell-Loudon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddie Holcomb, who had 18 digs, and Araceli Velasquez, who had seven digs. Holcomb is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Meanwhile, Woodmore came up short against Gibsonburg on Thursday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 16-25, 25-14.

Hopewell-Loudon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Woodmore, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Everything went Hopewell-Loudon's way against Woodmore in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Hopewell-Loudon made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
