Buccaneers win seven straight postseason games, knock off Episcopal School 1-0 for title.

Sam Woods, daughter of Tiger Woods is a Florida state soccer champion after she and her Benjamin (Palm Beach Gardens) teammates beat Episcopal School of Jacksonville (Jacksonville) 1-0 on Saturday to cap a historic postseason hot streak.

Tiger Woods, perhaps the greatest golfer who ever played, was in the stands for the championship match along with other parents and students. He even donned a "2025 FHSAA State Championship" shirt.

Emma Bartoli scored the lone goal of the match for the Buccaneers in the 31st minute on a cross from Iris Hoffman.

Benjamin won just four matches during the regular season but went on a playoff tear with seven straight victories. The Bucs twice beat King's Academy as well as besting four-time reigning state champion Lakeland Christian.

Sam Woods joins her younger brother, Charlie, as a state champion in 2023 after he helped Benjamin to a golf title as a freshman. This season, the Buccaneers finished second in the 1A championship.

Tiger Woods played high school golf at Western (Anaheim, Calif.) and though the CIF didn't have a state tournament at the time, he won the Southern Section individual title three times in 1991, 1993 and 1994. As high school sophomore, he made his first PGA appearance playing in the 1992 Los Angeles Open at Riviera.
