Softball Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Northside - Pinetown Panthers

Jones is 0-10 against Northside - Pinetown since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Jones is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Jones needed a bit of extra time to put away Lejeune. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Devil Pups. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Payten Plyler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over ten innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-6 with four RBI and one triple.
