Basketball Recap: Cromwell Starts Season with Win Against East Hampton

Cromwell had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past the East Hampton Bellringers with a 42-36 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Peyton Kelleher was nothing short of spectacular: she posted 22 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Crawford, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

East Hampton's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Cromwell and East Hampton will both be playing Haddam-Killingworth the next time they take the court. Cromwell will host Haddam-Killingworth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while East Hampton will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
