Baseball Game Preview: Mosley Dolphins vs. Chiles Timberwolves

The Mosley Dolphins will face off against the Chiles Timberwolves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mosley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bay as Mosley made off with an 8-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on Peyton Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was CJ Harris, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Chiles won against North Florida Christian on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Chiles walked away with a 6-3 win over Maclay. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

Jake Gardner looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Myles-Mott Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also stolen a stolen base, marking his first of the season. Jack Neely was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Chiles now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Mosley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
