Cypress Ranch is 8-2 against Cypress Park since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Cypress Park Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Cypress Ranch is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Cypress Ranch blew past Cypress Springs, posting a 71-43 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Mustangs have posted against the Panthers since February 8, 2022.

Meanwhile, Cypress Park didn't have quite enough to beat Cypress Lakes on Tuesday and fell 56-54. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Spartans are ranked 434th).

Cypress Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Cypress Park, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-10.

Cypress Ranch strolled past Cypress Park in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 70-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Ranch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
