Poway has gone 8-2 against Mt. Carmel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Poway Titans will welcome the Mt. Carmel Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Poway is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mission Hills just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Grizzlies.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against San Marcos, falling 84-39. The Sundevils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.

Poway will need focus on slowing down Tyler Humphrey, one of several Mt. Carmel players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hourani, who had four points and five rebounds.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Poway, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

Things could have been worse for Poway, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-50 loss to Mt. Carmel when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mt. Carmel's Makai Orje, who went 5 of 9 en route to 19 points in addition to six assists and three steals.
