Softball Recap: Cortez Colts vs. Dysart Demons
Cortez scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Dysart Demons as the Cortez Colts made off with a 29-6 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Lindsay Suarez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a home run.
The win made it two in a row for Cortez and bumps their season record up to 3-12. As for Dysart, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Cortez will be playing in front of their home fans against Mohave at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Cortez will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Dysart, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cactus at 3:45 p.m. Dysart is facing Cactus at the right time seeing as Cactus is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
