Basketball Recap: Schlarman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Heritage last Monday, Schlarman came back down to earth. The Schlarman Hilltoppers took a blow against the Rantoul Eagles on Saturday, falling 73-31. The contest marked the Hilltoppers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

With the defeat, Schlarman broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4. As for Rantoul, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Schlarman will be home for the holidays to greet Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rantoul, they will head out to take on Maroa-Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
