Baseball Recap: Bosco Tech Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Bosco Tech faced off against Rosemead on Wednesday. The Tigers walked away with a 6-3 win over the Panthers. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Tyler Tafoya made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Jaycob Ochoa was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Bosco Tech hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosemead struck out nine times.

Bosco Tech now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rosemead, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Bosco Tech will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Segerstrom at 3:00 p.m. on March 5. As for Rosemead, they will be playing at home against Pioneer at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
