Volleyball Game Preview: New Designs University Park Cardinals vs. Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers

After both having extra time off, the New Designs University Park Cardinals and the Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. New Designs University Park will be strutting in after a win while Horace Mann UCLA Community will be coming in after a loss.

New Designs University Park barely beat Animo Robinson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 3-0 victory last Wednesday.

While New Designs University Park won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-20.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Friday. Horace Mann UCLA Community lost 3-0 to Animo South Los Angeles. Horace Mann UCLA Community hasn't had much luck with Animo South Los Angeles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-20.

Horace Mann UCLA Community's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for New Designs University Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
