Volleyball Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

If Hudson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cobras fell just short of the Gulf Buccaneers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Hudson sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-15, 22-25, 15-9.

Hudson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Gulf, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Hudson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 26th. As for Gulf, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Classical Prep on the 26th.
