Volleyball Recap: Lake Ridge's Loss Ends 17-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lake Ridge's tournament run continued when they took on Colleyville Heritage on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lake Ridge sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-17.

Addisyn Allen paced Lake Ridge's offense, picking up 12 kills. Allen were helped by Dawn Moore and Zoe Patteson, who contributed 15 assists each.

Lake Ridge's loss ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Colleyville Heritage, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Lake Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Arlington on the 16th. As for Colleyville Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Memorial on the 16th.
