Volleyball Recap: Eastern Wayne Comes Up Short

Eastern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

Eastern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Eastern Wayne will head out on the road to square off against North Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on American Leadership Academy at 6:15 p.m. on September 10.
