Football Recap: Pinecrest Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Young Americans Christian

Pinecrest Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Young Americans Christian Eagles on Friday, sneaking past 23-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Paladins also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Young Americans Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Ben Allen and Quez Thompson. Allen rushed for 37 yards and one TD, while Thompson picked up 78 receiving yards and one score. Thompson's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.

Pinecrest Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Young Americans Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, Pinecrest Academy will face off against Lafayette Christian on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Paladins surely won't give up without a fight. Young Americans Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
