In other batting news, Moapa Valley got a massive performance out of Tyson Pettingill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Pettingill is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Logan Schouten was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Moapa Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Democracy Prep Agassi Campus only posted an OBP of .429.
Moapa Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
