Volleyball Recap: Southington Has No Trouble Against Berlin

Southington won the last time they faced Berlin and things went their way on Monday too. The Blue Knights put the hurt on the Redcoats with a sharp 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Southington's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

Lauren Warych paced Southington's offense, picking up nine kills. Warych got some help from Emme Steindl and her 22 assists. Warych was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

When it comes to explaining why Berlin lost, don't look at Player #15. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs.

Southington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10-3 record this season. As for Berlin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.

Coming up, Southington will take on Simsbury at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Berlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
