 Devon Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took  a  10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph's Prep Hawks. Devon Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Joseph's Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2023.
  Michael White was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rian Gionfriddo, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 On St. Joseph's Prep's side, they got a great performance from  Aidan Lynch as he  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits.
 On the hitting side,  William McCoach was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Enrico Tufano, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Devon Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. Joseph's Prep, the  win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
 Devon Prep will head out on the road to  challenge  Pope John Paul II at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Devon Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season. As for St. Joseph's Prep, they will be playing at home against Hill School at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday.
