Broken Bow entered their tilt with Grand Island Central Catholic on Thursday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 48-44 W against the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 49-33 win the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Grand Island Central Catholic had strong showings from Bryndal Moody, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals, and Anna Tibbetts, who went 6-for-7 en route to 13 points along with five assists and three steals. Moody is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Reegan Reilly also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Broken Bow's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.
