Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Olivia Campbell and Caralyn Woodworth Lead GRACE Christian to Victory

GRACE Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the St. David's Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.

GRACE Christian was led to victory by Caralyn Woodworth and Olivia Campbell. Woodworth had 13 digs and three aces, while Campbell had nine digs, seven kills, and three aces. Woodworth is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: GRACE Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive contests.

St. David's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LIly Graham, who had six kills, four digs, and four aces. Another player making a difference was Mary Elizabeth Martin, who had nine digs and one assist.

GRACE Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for St. David's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

GRACE Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. David's, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne Christian on Tuesday.
