Soccer Game Preview: Point Arena vs. Calistoga

The Point Arena Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Calistoga Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Point Arena proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by four) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand Tomales a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Calistoga came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 4-2.

Calistoga hit Anderson Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leo Ramos (2), Rafael Rodriguez, and Ulises Navarrete.

Point Arena's victory bumped their record up to 9-7-2. As for Calistoga, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-3.
