Volleyball Recap: Frankfort Comes Up Short

Frankfort was the 2-0 winner over St. Mary Cathedral when they last played one another back in October of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Snowbirds on Saturday.

Ava Meyer paced Frankfort's offense, picking up seven kills. Meyer got some help from Alice Luther and her 16 assists. Ella Newbold controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Frankfort has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15-2 record this season. As for St. Mary Cathedral, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7-1.

Frankfort has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Cheboygan on the 25th. St. Mary Cathedral has also already played their next contest (against Boyne City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
