McCann Tech has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. McCann Tech will be strutting in after a win while Lee will be coming in after a loss.

While McCann Tech's victory against Franklin County Tech wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Eagles 6-5 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Brody Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those runs were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Dylan Turner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Rylander, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Lee was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against Turners Falls, falling 10-2. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Thunder recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

McCann Tech's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

McCann Tech took their win against Lee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
