Softball Preview: Osbourn Eagles vs. Hylton Bulldogs
Osbourn is 0-6 against Hylton since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Osbourn Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Hylton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Eagles fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. Everything went their way against Gar-Field on Tuesday as Osbourn made off with a 24-7 win. The Eagles have beaten the Red Wolves the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Wolves has come to flipping the script.
Tristyn Kershner was a standout: she scored five runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Britney Reyes, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Osbourn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .867. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .562 that Gar-Field posted.
