Softball Recap: Atlantic Takes a Loss

Atlantic was the 6-2 winner over Glenwood when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Rams by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rams since on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Atlantic and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Glenwood, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-9.

Atlantic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 defeat against Winterset on the 13th. As for Glenwood, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Albert at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
