Sarasota waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder by a score of 6-3.

Jacob Zeman looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mark Metcalf was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Patrick Drymon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Sarasota's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. As for Out-of-Door Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

Sarasota and Out-of-Door Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Sarasota (ranked 144th) will meet Lakewood Ranch (ranked 346th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Out-of-Door Academy will challenge North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 214 places (165 vs. 379).
