Baseball Recap: Grant Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lindhurst on Monday, Grant came back down to earth. The Pacers came up short against the Chavez Titans on Tuesday, falling 18-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in February.

Grant saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah Hunter, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Chavez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant will welcome Sacramento at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chavez, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Edison at 6:30 p.m. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
