Softball Recap: Woodstock Wolverines vs. Marietta Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lassiter, Woodstock was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Marietta Blue Devils with a sharp 10-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolverines considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Woodstock's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Marietta, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodstock will venture away from home to take on River Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marietta, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Walton at 5:30 p.m. on October 1st.
