Southeast Yosemite recap Oct. 3, 2012

Highland moved up to 624 from 661 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southeast Yosemite. The Scots climbed the ranks as a result of a 10-7 win over Mira Monte.

Tehachapi led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on West. Jorge Garcia ran for 122 yards in the win.

The Warriors' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bobby Howell threw for 85 yards and Skylar Valencia had 39 yards receiving. Ryan Flick helped Tehachapi's passing attack out by catching one ball for 28 yards.

Garces's Cruise Adams and Angus Bellue have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Adams has thrown for 1137 yards this season, while Bellue, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 20 catches for 451 yards. Tehachapi's Garcia leads the league in rushing yards with 523.

A big matchup in Southeast Yosemite this week will be when Highland takes on the Rams. As it stands, Steven Montanio's team is in third, while Garces is in second.
