League recap: Timber Creek winning streak up to five games

Timber Creek (19-6, 6-2) has won five games in a row, 8A District 5's longest active win streak. The streak was extended by another game over the past week, includinga 3-0 victory over Vero Beach and a 3-0 win over Vero Beach. The team's hottest hitter over the past week was Kyle Muth, who had one hits and drove in one runs.

University went from 190 to 182 in the national rankings since last week after going 1--1 in the past seven days.

The Wolves's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only five hits and two walks, both of which led the league. Timber Creek has given up a mere 138 hits on the year in addition to compiling 176 strikeouts. Tyler Konzen is the leader in that category with 64 Ks on the season.
